At Least I’m Faster the Katie Holmes
I’m not usually one for the gossip crap that pervades the interwebs, but from Runners World’s Daily Views blog, the news from the NYC Marathon is Katie Holmes ran it in 5:29. Having finished Grand Rapids in 5:27, at least I’m faster. Thing that I noted in this picture that had no photo credit is she is wearing headphones, which are usually prohibited in Marathons (according to the race director of the Grand Rapids Marathon, its part of the USATF sanctioning).
Congrats to all the finishers in NYC, including MS. Holmes!

I think I read somewhere that David Lee Roth finished his marathon in like 6:18 or something. I walked around for a while saying BUT at least I am faster than he is. Of course, he probably had vodka at his aid stations. (I am so very mean sometimes.)

Lets not forget that in addition to the headphones party-foul - Katie ran with three body guards that also appeared to be coaching her and helping her along the way. And you know she had some professional coaching (and dietary help) during those three long months she trained
