Inspiration from Joe McNally
I finally had a chance to read a longer post by photographer Joe McNally. If you’ve read his book The Moment it Clicks, you get a sense that he’s been around the block a few times (and has the pictures to prove it). There is a great quote at the end of his article that I took a few seconds put on the less than flattering image of his also near the end of the post.

While I still can’t call my self a full time photographer, this still speaks to what I love so much about it.

Great quote. I love the photo. (Too bad about the typo.)
Hmm, maybe I should put a little [sic] in there.
hey Derek,
Sorry to hear about the job (news has been traveling slowly for me as I have not been visiting the blogs in my RSS enough recently). For what it’s worth, things are gonna get better - and you’ve got quite a network of support.
On the topic of this post, I didn’t catch that McNally post, but did read The Moment It Clicks, and instantly knew the shot - great combination of one of his gems and the photo - thanks for sharing it here again, as it does remind us of why we shoot in the first place!
